Loosely quoted from a US High Court decision on female only environments that, notwithstanding any existing equal opportunity laws, are allowed to be set up. “The presence of men is a “hardship” to women”. The mere presence!

In my sporting days I was subjected to female journalists in the change rooms after competition. None of us were warned, or asked, beforehand. None of us liked it. They just walked in. Imagine a bloke doing that at a netball game.

What is it about people that they don’t realise the men sometimes would like to be able to go somewhere without women sticking their beaks in? What is it about women that they can’t tolerate men having this opportunity while demanding it themselves? Is it paranoia? Do they think that any grouping of two or more men automatically means they’re conspiring against women? Given the vehemence and self righteousness of womens’ demands for the right to intrude in any male space I cannot see any alternative.

For the record
I don’t comment on promiscuity because I have nothing to say about it. I could say it has certain dangers attached to it but providing nobody is hurt or betrayed it’s none of my business what anybody does.

Personally I believe that the number of “skanky ho” attired women is an indication of the extent of the competition between women for diminishing male attention. Notwithstanding womens’ supposed equality in the modern world they are largely still too timid to play the mating game in anything other than a passive way. Even the frequent lesbian posturing is passive. It is merely a display, exhibitionist in nature certainly, but relatively risk free. These are the extremes to which they will go to avoid risking rejection. That remains a male responsibility.

And please don’t read this as if I have a belief in the alpha male, for you’ll need to explain to me first just what exactly an alpha male is like. I have met plenty of successful and rich men, which seems to be the mabtw set criteria for what an alpha male is, and all I can say to that is, wrong.

Given we both disbelieve it becomes rather academic as to what is or isn’t.
I’m not a subscriber to the alpha/beta male dichotomy. I see humans on a continuum(multidimensional rather than linear - think mandelbrot in minimum three dimensions) rather than only at extremes. My understanding of “power” and how it’s obtained or weilded doesn’t leave room for it. Most men have the capacity to be the so-called “alpha” in some circumstances and at some times. So do many women. But there are many forms of power and it’s manifestations. In simplistic terms I guess the “alpha” would be the person everyone else defers to. But this can be fluid. Consider a group of people who work together. Often if that group is placed in a different scenario the natural heirarchy of the group changes. This can lead to different “alphas” emerging.
